Precision project named as Building of the Year at AJ100 Awards
The WilkinsonEyre redevelopment of Weston Library, home of the Bodleian Libraries’ special collections of historic publications, has been awarded the top prize of Building of the Year at the AJ100 awards.
Precision Lighting contributed towards the success of the building in working closely with lighting designers DHA, and display case specialists Goppion in developing bespoke lighting equipment for illuminating the antique books and manuscripts in the new state-of-the-art storage facilities for the prized works.
Weston Library was named Building of the Year at the AJ100 gala on the 8th June, a celebratory evening organised by the Architects’ Journal held to recognise the top practices in architecture, and to commend specific achievements in architectural design.
The judges for the AJ100 applauded the level of craft and detail that is so evident throughout the Library, a commitment to detail that reflects Precision's ethos and our own appreciation of every element in our luminaire design.
